Why I Created EarthKind: The Story Behind Our Automatic Dishwashing Solution

I want to tell you a little story about something I created.

It started with a question.

What are we bringing into our homes every day without really thinking about it?

When my journey into natural wellness began, I started by looking at the obvious things—food, supplements, skincare and the choices we make for our families.

But eventually, I started looking beyond those things.

I started looking at our home.

What are we breathing in?
What are we putting on our skin?
What are we cleaning with?
And what are we using on the plates and cups that we eat and drink from every day?

That's when I started thinking about dishwasher detergent.

We use it constantly, yet most of us don't give much thought to what's actually in it.

I wanted to create something where I understood the ingredients and why they were there.

But I also didn't want to create something that was “natural” but didn't actually clean our dishes properly.

I wanted both.

A thoughtful ingredient list and something that worked.

And that's how EarthKind Automatic Dishwashing Solution was born.

I developed a formula using carefully selected ingredients, including sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, sodium chloride, sodium metasilicate, sodium percarbonate and organic lemon essential oil.

No added fragrance.

No preservatives.

No unnecessary fillers.

No microplastics.

Just purposeful ingredients designed to get the job done.

But EarthKind is about more than dishwasher detergent.

It's part of something much bigger for me.

It's about creating a home where we become more intentional about the things we use every day.

It's about reading labels and asking questions.

It's about realising that wellness isn't only about what we eat—it's also about the environment we create around our families.

And sometimes, creating a healthier home doesn't require a huge lifestyle overhaul.

Sometimes it starts with one little swap.

That's why I created EarthKind.

Not because I wanted to sell another cleaning product.

But because I wanted it in my own home first.
